just want to know how I can get internet access on it. Any internet service I want to get you need a cd to download the internet stuff. thinking about trying cable..have cable on my other computer. Could I some how link it to that one..or is it a useless laptop. Was given to me. Dont want to just toss it out or anything because other than no cdrom drive.. still a pretty decent laptop. Could take it to computer shop to put cd rom in but trying to avoid that if I can because I have a main computer to do anything I want on. Its just nice to have that laptop just in case something happens to my computer i still will have internet access on that. Know what Im talking about?

I wish to allow six of them access to the net for vtwo hours (from 1100 hrs to 1300 hr GMT every day), while the rest would be up net as long as my ICS machine is up and running, every day too. So how do I achieve this since am only using Win XP that is only workgroup enabled and not domain structure enabled? Also, can I enable ICS in WIn 2003 Server ( that is the Domain primary domain controller, DHCP, WIN and DNS server, without any creating any bottle nect (difficulty) as I have done in Win XP. And can I achieve the aim of limiting access to net to some clients machines at some times of the day while others have no restriction at all. Please give me enough details as how to accomplish my task of access restriction to ( only to be allowed access to the net for two hours 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs every day) some, while others are constantly on as the link is up on the same network. Thanks

i keep getting logged off from my wifi internet access at home.. i want to remain logged on.
