What do you think is better if you just need the ability to access outlook e-mail, write papers, and access the Internet on the go? I am going to school online and I also work full time in sales so I am always moving. I have a good computer at home and work I just need something for in between here and there. What would you recommend? And should I lease or buy if I am only planning on really using it for a few years. I kind of think that leasing is a good idea since technology changes so fast. If I buy then it would just be obsolete in a few years. Let me know what you think.

i just bought a new computer (compaq fs7600) and have cable connection which is supposed to be blazing fast and i guess it is at most times but there is other times where it takes unusually long to connect and change pages. i am fairly new to this, is there special settings i should be on. a good majority of my time was spent on limwire downloading music and a few videos and i have not yet upgraded to pro yet but this slower speed seems to happen when im on an unrelated site

I am a manager in a hospital. There’s a LAN in this hospital. I have my own computer and some important data in it.

I want to connect to internet through hospital’s network.
I only want to use internet but I do not want to share any of my files.

How can I prevent administrator or any other person accessing my files on my computer? I heard that network adminisitrators can access files on any computer on a network. I don’t want them to do that.
THESE FILES ARE VERY IMPORTANT.

I have rivals in the hospital. Some people may try to get those important documents -by some help from network adminisitrators-
