I just bought a Linksys WRT54GC wireless router and need help installing/configu it. I am using a Verizon ISP?

Can someone please help me configurate the Linksys router so my laptop can access the internet thru the router? Right now I am connecting directly to the DSL modem, but when I install the router in place, I can’t go online. Can someone help me configurate it? Thank You.
I did follow the utility CD, and it still doesn’t work…

I have 2 computers and only 1 DSL modem how can i get Internet access on both?

I want to do this as easy as possible the comp with internet access is in office in basment the other one is upstairs in living room

will somehow ,a dsl broadband internet connection work if instead of a dsl modem a 56k dial up modem is used?

is ADSL compulsory for BSNL S DATA ONE broadband connection,i mean can it be replaced by a 56k dial up modem compromising on speed or in any other way
