I am a manager in a hospital. There’s a LAN in this hospital. I have my own computer and some important data in it.

I want to connect to internet through hospital’s network.
I only want to use internet but I do not want to share any of my files.

How can I prevent administrator or any other person accessing my files on my computer? I heard that network adminisitrators can access files on any computer on a network. I don’t want them to do that.
THESE FILES ARE VERY IMPORTANT.

I have rivals in the hospital. Some people may try to get those important documents -by some help from network adminisitrators-

I have a dsl connection of 512 Mb/s but the download speed is 6kb/s and my task manager shows the useage as 25% how do i take it to at least 70% without download some shady software

This downoad speed i am talkins about is acually 11 when i start but diminishes with use. it cant be because new users are entering because old ones will have to go also hence that aspect may be ignored

Hey pipo, am running an internet cafe and i have a restriction on bandwidth usage therefore prompting me to limit downloads. I would like to find out how to disable the SAVE dialogue box when someone wants to download and also if theres a way of not allowing installation of download accelerators on the pcs. Am using windows xp service pack 2.

Am sure it has to do with gpedit.msc orb regedit. I just need a guide to do it. Also task manager, i need to disable task manager in my pcs too.

I have dedicated two computers on which if someone wants to download i charge the per minute dfifferently. so the other pcs are not allowed to download.

1. disableing the save dialogue if sum1 wants to download
2. Disabling task manager
3. disabling installation of software.

Currently, I have a few download managers in mind but not sure which is the best ; Internet download manager, flashget & internet download accelerator.
Can anyone tell me which is the best among these ? You guys could just vote for the best one.
