It is because there are some programs which I can’t properly access the internet because of blocked port.

I wish to allow six of them access to the net for vtwo hours (from 1100 hrs to 1300 hr GMT every day), while the rest would be up net as long as my ICS machine is up and running, every day too. So how do I achieve this since am only using Win XP that is only workgroup enabled and not domain structure enabled? Also, can I enable ICS in WIn 2003 Server ( that is the Domain primary domain controller, DHCP, WIN and DNS server, without any creating any bottle nect (difficulty) as I have done in Win XP. And can I achieve the aim of limiting access to net to some clients machines at some times of the day while others have no restriction at all. Please give me enough details as how to accomplish my task of access restriction to ( only to be allowed access to the net for two hours 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs every day) some, while others are constantly on as the link is up on the same network. I’m using the explorer 6 provided with verizon/yahoo dsl. Just switched over from dialup and already my firewall log is loaded with hack attemps and all kinds of port scans.

probs w/ J2SE RE 1.5.0_06 plug-in…….there is no JVM option *-server” in IE->tools->internet options->advanced tab…..is there a way to get it there because there are settings missing that could be of use. (example: enable JIT compiler for VM -option cannot be accessed. whenever i play yahoo spades, upon exit, IE appears to close, but is still on the taskbar. the only way to close it is from task manager. after finally closing, there is an error msg “internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close…..”. (i’ve stopped sending error reports, this has gone on for so long). also PC is VERY slow when starting up or rebooting. (sometimes takes up to 3 mins to finish loading). i’ve had this prob since getting windows updates. i’m running emachines T3414. i have norton antivirus 2006 and webroot spy sweeper installed and they both start automatically when windows starts. i’ve uninstalled all unnecessary programs from add/remove hardware and defragmented C:/ drive

The internet is thru the LAN/ethernet connection. I use the wireless to access the print server only. Have tried flushing the DNS, releasing/renewing connections, ect. Don’t know how to tell XP/Internet Explorer to ignore the wireless card. Thx in advance for ideas.
