before I couldn’t even get the microsoft update page to load. I finally was able to start installing sp2, and had to go to bed while it was downloading (I have dialup, so it takes a while). When I woke up my brother said he ‘thought’ it was downloaded. I went to the Microsoft page to make sure, and it said it failed and that there was the error code 0×80072F78.

I don’t know why windows update never works for me. my xp version is valid, not pirated or anything. I turned on automatic updates (look at my previous questions)

um….my os is windows xp home edition version 2002
only has sp1 because I can’t download sp2 >.<

i have a windows xp home pc on a small network about 10 PC’s using several linksys routers. ran new cables to new room and moved two pc’s. One of the two pc’s has a database file on it that other PC’s on the network need to get to but know cant access. This PC can get on internet but when I run IPCONFIG /renew I get Media Disconnected error. I can not see any of the other computers in my workgroup from this PC. I have tried the winsockxp fix nothing tried a repair still nothing tried setting a static IP still nothing. Any ideas would help.

I just bought the game and installed it however it can’t play due to some problem. Here are the games min requirements:a 1.5 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, Windows XP or Vista, a 128MB Graphics Card that supports Pixel Shader 2.0, DirectX 9.0 or later, and a decent internet connection, such as DSL or Cable. On my laptop i have windows xp,Intel core 2 due proccessor t5500 operates at 1.66ghz. Intel media graphics accelerator 950,1 gb ram and 100 gb hd. My laptop is not old i bought it last year. When i try to open the game it states a few reasons why i might not be able to play. It askes if my desktop is set to 32 bit color yes it is. It askes if my screen is at least 1024 768 yes it is. Then it also askes is my video card set to run with hardware acceleration turned on im not sure what that means. Advanced thanks to anyone who answers

How do I restrict internet access for users on Windows XP? Need to limit to certain hours.?

we are using internet service provided by local operator. The computer I am using is Dell type, Pentium 4 with Cpu 2.8GHz and the operating system is Windows XP proffesional version 2002 service pack 1. The computer is among six computers in a small office network. My computer is located about 50m away from service hub. However, the internet speed of other three computers neer the service hub is much better than mine.
